Yana is a small hill station that is popularly known for its scenic nature and religious values. Yana is located on the backdrop of Sahyadri Mountains near Kumta in Uttara Kannada district. It is also a place for researchers because of black crystalline limestone formation mountains. These 300 feet height mountains are named as Bhairaveshwara peak and Mohini peak. There is a mythology story behind the formation of this rare formations. Surrounded by biodiversity environment, Yana has a cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
